You can expect the same standard of excellence every year at Kentucky Crafted: The Market but never the same exact show. The Kentucky Arts Council juries new participants into the Kentucky Crafted Program annually, so there is always new artwork to discover. Meet some of the artists new to the Market in 2016.

How did you get started? What is your training?
I learned the basics of metalsmithing from a local instructor, and I enjoy refining my skills by taking focused classes to learn specific techniques.
What do you want buyers to know about your work? What makes it different?
I am told by my customers that they like my work because it’s unique and different from most other handcrafted jewelry available. I believe my pieces are engaging, artistic and wearable.
Name some of your career accomplishments.
My jewelry has been sold in galleries and boutiques throughout the southeast, and I have juried into a multitude of nationally-ranked (and top 10) art shows. Additionally, I received a Best in Show Runner-Up award at the Penrod Arts Fair (Indianapolis Museum of Art), earning jury-exempt status for all future shows.
What are you looking forward to about showing at Kentucky Crafted: The Market?
I always look forward to engaging my customers at shows, getting feedback and meeting those who wear or sell what I create.
